The only logical caption I have for this video is “WOOOOOOOOW.” To me true // honest art is not solely about whether or not you ‘bit someone else’s style’ or how good you are at your craft, but it’s the avenue of which inspires you and your ability to put your spin on it (and possibly take it to the next level). Here you have a guy who’s probably seen something/someone and asked himself “you know what, what if you did this/ or that and used resin to layer it,” and from there, build on and mastered his craft.
I feel like it’s about finding yourself. What you truly love and are happy with. But MEH, what the **** does anyone know? Really.
January 13-14th there was an event going on in The Delmar Loop called the Ice Carnival. They had (you guessed it) shaved ice and interactive zones scattered up and down the street. Many vendors and brands came out and put on their culture-vulture hats to fetch karma points with the participants, of which, people came out in DROVES that blocked traffic for blocks. Im not going to lie though, I just so happen to be there to check in with homies over at SwedLife–it was FA-REEZING that day. All jokes aside though I throughly enjoyed the event and I was happy to see Saint Louis embrace the event with such open arms.
The All Purpose Tote bag is that of a collaboration between both OneTime and Work/Play. The hand drawn graphic printed on the tote were done by the good folks over at Work/Play (a Saint Louis based design duo/house/brand)(@lovethemhateyou && @euro_bella and constructed and designed by OneTime. Whether lugging around books or being earth conscience by using it as a reusable grocery sack, the All Purpose Tote is prefect for everyday use. The tote also features a chain clip inside for key storage and comes in both black denim or blue denim. ____________Shop.
I’ve forgotten how I came across Best Made’s website, but I do know I LOVE the simplicity of it. The stark white background with the way that they showcase their items impress me a lot. Not to mention their wares have a kind of dashing Americana feel to them. I dont know what it is, but I get the same feel being on their sight as I did when I was checking out shoppes in New York (apparently they ARE a NY based company). Check their site out though, it’s dope.
It’s always interesting to see a kind of future technology unfolding right in front of you. I can only imagine how superconductivity could be used in the future. Mayhaps we’ll have those flying cars by 2020..? Even then so they’ll be 20years late in themselves. Found this roaming about the STPL blog. Check it out.
