StLouis :: Pere Marquette Park

Pere Marquette Park

Pere Marquette Park

Marquette Park is quite a journey to reach, but the treasure-like sights that are here are rather priceless. On a sunny day the waters are shimmering on the lower docks of the Mississippi River, and the sun bathed views beyond the camping lodge and visitor’s center are breathtaking-straight out of a National Geographic mag. Like any park there are hiking paths and winding narrow paved paths to the top that remind you of scenes from Jurassic Park. In November it’s said that Eagles migrate here from the north in search of food, and their numbers are greatest in the months of February and March.

StLouis :: Great River Road

Great River Road (McAdams Highway)
(Address link) IL-100 N

Great River Road is simply amazing. On a nice sunny day it’s hard to match it’s stunning sights as you peruse down the 2 lane strip of Great River Rd (Mc Adams Highway) along the Mississippi River, the very border of Illinois and Missouri. The navigation is so very easy and all together the drive is about 20mins with a good stopping place of Pere Marquette Park, it does continue on though. On one side of the road you have towering cliffs, occasional caves, and wooded area. Often one would catch what seem to be hawks and eagles flying and perching on the ledges above, and on the other side you’d see the glistening waters of the Mississippi River and the wooded greenery beyond it.

Anton Repponen - iOS'86

Creative designer Anton Repponen of Fantasy Interactive (NY) has created what an iPhone would look like if it had Apple iOS ’86. This is funny because it almost looks like an older iPod or something. Without a doubt, I’d rock it if it were a real operating system.
